LIFE WIKI – MATERIAL
Life Wiki – Material is a wiki about the material goals of life and is part of the Life Wiki project. The Life Wiki project is intended to in a structured form talk about situations, give solutions, and resources to issues you may find yourself facing in life. There are two large portions of life that Life Wiki will address: mental goals and material goals. Within each goal there are mental and material considerations.
Material Goals are goals of a material nature. These are goals that satisfy a material want or need. Many material goals will be of the basic necessities variety. Some however will be more of a want.
An example Material Goal might be finding an apartment. It is material goal because the apartment is of a material nature. Some material considerations may be the cost, distance to your job and grocery store, safety, in a good school district. Some mental considerations may be if the weather there is pleasant, good restaurants nearby, and if there are places there that fit your hobbies and interests.
Considerations: credit cards, mortgages, loans, debts, collection agencies, bad financial products and services, investments (e.g. stocks, bonds, mutual funds, index)
- Database of financial products and a good and bad of them. A fact checking type thing for them.
- Bad financial products and services: Payday loans, time shares, title loans, rent furniture, whole life insurance (term is ok)
- Good financial products and services: Roth IRA, HSA

Considerations: credit transferring issues, accreditation, tutoring, formal vs self-teaching, getting the education for it, funding education (e.g. grants, loans), internships, apprenticeships, university with degree vs trade school with trade certificate, ivy league vs non-ivy-league, high cost universities vs low cost universities for same degree, getting degree all at once or in pieces, getting your degree at night
